1940s french vintage maria theresa brass glass and crystal 8 light chandelier.the chandelier is made up of a decorative cut glass central column with cut glass bobeche to the top and cut glass cup to the bottom. The chandelier has 8 curved brass arms covered with glass and decorated with glass flowers and cut glass pendant droplets. The arms lead to cut glass bobeches with crystal droplets and the candle drips have been replaced with white acrylic which are in keeping with the style of the chandelier. To the bottom of the chandelier hangs a string of glass beads with a faceted crystal ball. The chandelier hangs from a 4 link chain, bar a decorative cup style ceiling fitter.the chandelier is working with french twin core wiring and takes 8 small screw in bulbs e14s. The brass is in good solid condition with age related patina, pitting and some verdigris. The glass and crystal droplets are complete with no chips or cracks. The candle drips are new in white acrylic. We take great care in wrapping our crystal chandeliers, but on occasion some of the crystals may work loose and its down to you to rehang them which is usually a simple process.
